NAPA VALLEY CA

Have some friends from Florida who are doing a 10-day California tour.  It was fortunate that I am up here in Northern California at the same time they are. I was able to meet them in Napa, the Beautiful Town well known for its wineries. I offered to drive them around as well as be their DD so they could totally enjoy the scenery and taste wine if they liked    We covered from Napa to Calistoga California. Calistoga is well-known for its Vineyards but also its Spa, hot springs and mud baths. We stopped at two lovely wineries just for the view. One, Sutter Home, still provide some free tastings. Those days, however are long gone. Nowadays there is a notable charge for tastings. Beringer winery is fabulous. The grounds, the German style mansion with much stained glass and beautiful wood carving as well as flooring of wood patterns. Sutter Home vineyard winery was also pleasant and beautifully surrounded by numerous rose trees of large blooms and sweet aroma. It was a gorgeous day and we all had a great time getting our deli sandwiches and walking around the quaint dowtown area. Shops abound with varieties of upscale clothing and art work.
