What are the things I found fascinating in this very small town in southern Utah where my friends live, Emery, is that it has a history. Needless to say there is some influence from the Mormon culture and it is a small community that has not had significant amounts of changes over the years. The farm seem to belong mostly into the same families and the houses and outlying buildings are mostly older with a few new additions but simple and moderate in design. . One of the things that was fascinating to me were the older buildings that had not been torn down but we're left as a historical marker for the slow Evolution. I'm including some of the pictures. The last larger building was the first Mormon church built in this town around the mid to late 1800s. It is no longer in use and has not been renovated as of yet. There is a smaller more modern one in the town now.
