COLORADO

What a beautiful ride from Grand Junction to Morrison/Idledale CO.  It took awhile but I finally got i

nto some greener areas and lots more water. The road wound around canyons and through tunnels bored through the mountain sides. There was a continuation of river along the south side of my rig. I stopped and took a few pics. I landed in a very small town west of Denver called idledale. I have a friend back from my days of living in Willits California back in the mid-to-late seventies, who has lived here for many years. We have been in touch for a little while on Facebook but I haven't seen her since 1978. What a wonderful opportunity to reunite. It's a very small town 300+, the short ride from Morrison to Idledale is a only 4 miles.  It is nestled back in the mountains followed by the ever pervasive Creek. It's so great to be back in cooler moister weather. Morrison is the home of the famous Red Rock Amphitheater. I'm going to get to see it today though it's the high season for concerts every weekend and is sold out. The little town of Morrison is inundated with terrorists and motorcycles.
