Dallas to Houston

So I was ready to move on from my lovely visit in The Colony near Dallas/Frisco. As there is tons of road construction everywhere around Dallas, ( believe it's the Perpetual hobby of theirs-if theres still open space build on it )  I decided to program my GPS to take me on anything but freeways. Of course, that added on about an hour to an hour and a half more driving,  many more traffic stops, and a somewhat hilly terrain, but overall it was a very lovely trip. After the dusty rather barren area of Perpetual construction and houses that are only neutral Brick colors, it was pleasant to see a lot of greenery, expansive ranches and trees!  I had  called about a campsite reservation in the country outside of Houston where my other high-school friend Leslye and her husband live. I arrived there and there was no one at the rather shabby office and the site in general was fairly poor so I immediately pulled out and went to my GPS and begged it to find another campground nearby. Lo and behold, it brought me to this wonderful place called Country Place RV park. It's the idyllic RV Park. It is covered with beautiful trees very neat and tidy campsites and even long-term RVers who are friendly and very helpful. Everything about it is soothing and comfortable. I think I'll just stay here for maybe three nights before I head to San Antonio. This is part of the reason why I went traveling was to spend a little time in the outdoors and just meet people spontaneously on the road. Feels good. Would highly recommend this Campsite near Houston if anybody needs to have a recommendation for one.  ðŸš™ 🌲

  1. Finally catching up with your postings...seeing that you are living your dream. Mastering road-trip logistics, seeing the world with new eyes, (Oh so sweet that we can simply change our perspective with a split second decision) and basking in the warmth of old, new and renewed friendships. Carry on! Jane
