LAS CRUCES - OLD MESILLA
Today I had an opportunity to do some more sightseeing. I did discover they were having a downtown Farmers Market and it was fun just to walk around looking at the vendors and the southwestern flare in the jewelry and artifacts on display, not to mention the food. The weather was lovely today, in the sixties and no dust storms. That was a major blessing. I also visited an older section of Las Cruces called old Mesilla and it is preserved from early days of the city's development. It houses some lovely old Adobe buildings that have been obviously taking care of and kept up with. There a lot of little shops and restaurants and art stores. They also built a Church in the main section of the old town square and and I went inside and enjoyed the Simplicity and beauty of the interior of the building. My phone, for some amazing reason, took some pretty good pictures of the stained glass. As you all know, I am a stained glass artisan, and love to look at creations in glass. All-in-all come it with a lovely day and I got a chance to get out and walk and enjoy the cooler Spring Air. It's beautiful here when the sky is bright and shiny and the clouds are floating because you can see them even atva far distance wit the mountains in the distant background
